The CONSTRUTEC Organising Committee 2018, the International Trade Show for Construction Materials and Buildings Solutions organised by IEMA and taking place from 13 to 16 November this year at Feria de Madrid.

CONSTRUTEC is being held, together with BIMEXPO, ARCHISTONE, BIMEXPO, MATELEC and MATELEC LIGHTING, as part of ePower&Building, which will play host to over 1,600 businesses – an increase of 30% compared to the last joint edition in 2016. At the meeting, the CONSTRUTEC Organising Committee was set up, with the sector strongly represented.

The Committee also announced the event’s mission statement: “a sector instrument to help the European building industry add value to society by promoting comfortable, sustainable, safe, and healthy living environments.” And hailed the Fair as “a meeting point for the market, business, innovation and knowledge”.

CONSTRUTEC 2018 will be held as part of ePower&Building, the leading European event for all building life-cycle solutions, which, for the second time, hosts IFEMA events relating to the world of Construction: BIMEXPO, ARCHISTONE, VETECO, MATELEC and MATELEC LIGHTING. An event that will coincide with the second edition of MATELEC INDUSTRY, ePower&Building expects to bring together 1,600 exhibitors and over 80,000 professionals, from around 100 countries.

Under the umbrella of ePower&Building and with the motto “Transforming the Way We Build a Green World” as leitmotiv, CONSTRUTEC 2018 will be based on the cornerstones Sustainability, Technology and Innovation. All of this, as was made clear at the Organising Committee meeting, “in the context of the entire construction life cycle: design, project, execution, construction, habitability, maintenance, efficiency and rehabilitation; and with the aim of promoting the usability, consumption, comfort, upgrading and sustainability of a building throughout its life cycle”.

The meeting highlighted the function of the event as “a sector tool, its high visibility and notoriety, contribution to GDP and employment, to commercial dynamism, to raising the profile of businesses, to innovation and knowledge and sector awareness”. Plus, the business function as a catalyst for “marketing, enhancing reputation, a showcase for innovation and the latest developments, engagement, loyalty, sales leads and demonstrations”.
